Sfera con Sfera (Sphere Within Sphere), by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro, is prominently situated within the Vatican Courtyard.

This iconic bronze work presents a highly polished outer sphere, fractured to reveal a complex inner form reminiscent of a mechanical or hidden world.

The juxtaposition of the smooth exterior and the intricate interior invites contemplation of layered realities—exploring the tension between surface and structure, the visible and the concealed.

In my watercolor take, the strong lines of the sculpture become softer and more fluid, giving it a lighter, more relaxed feel. It works beautifully in a wide variety of home spaces and styles.
